What is Taekwondo?Taekwondo is a Korean martial art and combat sport that is characterized by its emphasis on high, fast kicks and powerful hand techniques. The word "taekwondo" is derived from Korean words: "Tae" means foot, "Kwon" means hand, and "Do" means way or path. So, Taekwondo can be roughly translated as "the way of the foot and fist."

What ages do you hold classes for?We have class for ages 4 and up. We can accommodate any skill level at any age. It's never to late to start!

What is the class schedule?We are here Monday through Friday. Class times are listed on the "Classes" page. You can come to class all 5 days or any combination of days. The more classes you attend per week the faster you will learn. The monthly cost of membership remains the same regardless of the number of classes attended.

Can we do a free trial before commiting?Of course! You can contact us by phone or email to plan a few free trial classes to see if taekwondo is right for you or your child. There is no obligation to sign up after your trial is over.

Are there any fitness requirements to start taekwondo?No. We welcome all physical fitness levels and can accommodate alterations based on ability. We provide a very encouraging environment where all we ask is that you try your best and don't give up on yourself.

Do you offer an afterschool program?Yes. We can offer after school pickup for the Woodruff schools. Children are brought to the studio and offered time to finish homework and a small snack. They will then attend their scheduled taekwondo class time. Pick-up time is 5:30. Our afterschool program is $75/week.

What is your pricing?Student fees are $125/month. A one-time registration fee of $75 is to be paid along with the first months payment which includes a dobok (uniform) and a school t-shirt.
